The Third

Pawel and Ewa, a married couple in their 30s from Krakow, are typical examples of successful people. They are attractive, well-groomed, and professionally well-positioned. They go on vacation on an elegant yacht called Prosperity and drive a luxury car. However, in the pursuit of career and money, their former love has been lost. A trip to the seaside, which was supposed to help them overcome the crisis, suddenly has to be interrupted because Pawel urgently needs to return to work. As they head for the port in Gdansk, their yacht unexpectedly collides with the boat of an elderly, lonely man. As a result of the collision, the man falls into the water, and the boat sinks. Pawel and Ewa take the stranger on board, reach Gdansk, and, wanting to make amends for the wrong he has suffered, offer him a ride in their car if he also heads towards Krakow. The stranger eagerly accepts.
