Dawn of the Damned

Pamphlet movie. Anti-colonialist indictment on the history of Africa. In a colonized capital, students from various disciplines act out the words of popular storytellers and find that they are more realistic than university programs. After Independence, a group of young Algerians research in books, museums, the past of the colonized peoples of Africa and Asia. The National Center of Algerian Cinema which has just been created in 1963 will allow the construction of this film. An ambitious work, it was the homage of liberated Algeria to all those who fight against colonialism and oppression. In the great tradition of montage films, this film is supported by a commentary written in admirable language.
