Us 5

Commissioned by the BBC and produced as a series of webisodes, Us 5 has been developed for integration into an interactive web space for Mencap. The episodes are based around the lives and dilemmas of five characters. Each addresses issues of independence, self-determination and (self-directed) support. Stories were developed during creative workshops with the actors who play the central characters. Will's Story: Will finds himself faced with new responsibilities and a dilemma Diamond's Story: Diamond is not sure she can rely on Will Phoebe's Story: Phoebe has to seek support beyond her family if she's going to live her own life Spock's Story: Spock doesn't always fit in so he re-examines his relationship with himself and his social worker Spudnik's Story: Spudnik lands a plum job as a researcher in TV show for a celebrity chef but his potato obsession and his lavish use of budgets lands him in trouble.
