We Are the Music Man

Students from the Syracuse City School District performed in the nonprofit Redhouse Arts Center's colorblind casting of the musical 'The Music Man.' They experienced being in a professional theater and working with professional actors from New York City. The students were part of the Hillside program which helps students at risk of not graduating. Many of the students, along with some of the cast and crew at Redhouse, come from troubled backgrounds and they talk about why art is important to a community and how it can change lives.
