Heresy

In a medieval Dutch village steeped in fear and superstition, the inhabitants are beginning to notice Frieda's infertility. The young woman has tried everything; however, neither praying nor strange fertility rituals has worked. But her plight has not gone unnoticed; unseen eyes in the forest follow her every move. And when a fateful visit deep in the gloomy woods sparks awe and jealousy, people think it is heresy and even the devil's work--not a miracle. Has blame and shame already sealed Frieda's fate, or do the answers lie in the path of ashes and the mysterious spirits of the mist?
