Plot Storyline

Little Sioux Yakari sets off to follow the trail of Little Lightning, a mustang. Yakari has a magical encounter with the Great Eagle, his totem animal, who gives him a beautiful feather and the gift of being able to speak with animals.

The adventure of a lifetime awaits Yakari, a plucky young member of the peaceful Sioux tribe, when the legendary, swift and spirited mustang, Little Thunder, catches his eye, galloping across the boundless tawny prairies and the flat green grasslands of the North American Great Plains. Now, against the backdrop of the imminent migration of the unstoppable bison herds, Yakari must prove his mettle in the never-ending journey to maturity to receive his first feather from his spiritual guide, Great Eagle, and an extraordinary gift, humans can only dream of possessing. However, even with faithful friends like Rainbow and Buffalo Seed, it is a dangerous world out there, and before long, Yakari will have to confront his fears in hostile territory. Can Yakari ride the untameable Little Thunder and become a brave Sioux?
