Plot:

Based on the epic poem by Pavol Orszagh Hviezdoslav, it tells the tragic story of Zuzanka, a young girl who loses her parents and has to live with her cruel stepmother. The movie is narrated by a war veteran who witnessed Zuzanka's fate.
