Having spent two long decades in a psychiatric hospital, Yannis Yannakis, a newly discharged mental health patient, feels like a new man. However, as the passive former inmate meanders through the bustling urban maze of a city that resembles Athens, Greece, determined to return to his hometown of Thessaloniki, reality comes back with a vengeance. Suddenly, it's a dog-eat-dog world, where corruption, decadence, madness, and political decline delineate the new face of Greece.
